(Printers Plate - Marseille) Le Port De Marseille Italy with bold stencil hand colorLe Port De Marseille. It's rare to find old printers plates as typically the medium could be reused, or was destroyed in process. This old plate is mounted on wood and still in very good condition. And thanks to a friend that is a historical printer we were able to make a print off of this plate which shows a very old view of Marseille, France. By the style and costume of the people in the image, this birds eye view appears to be 18th century.
